Hulihuli Chicken
 

Ingredients:
2 TBS. sugar 1 ½ tsp. grated ginger root
¾ C. shoyu (soy sauce) 1 clove garlic, minced
¼ c. white wine Pinch Aji-no-moto (MSG)
3 lbs. chicken halves or pieces

Combine soy sauce, wine, sugar, ginger, MSG and garlic. Add chicken pieces, turning to coat well and marinate at least 2 hours, or overnight in refrigerator, turning now and then.

When ready to cook, place pieces on grill over low-medium coals and cook, turning and basting often until brown and tender.
