Sweet and Sour Chicken
 

Ingredients:
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1 C. sugar 1 C. flour
¾ C. water ¾ C. pineapple juice
¾ C. vinegar 1 TBS. soy sauce
¼ tsp; ginger (optional)

Mix ingredient together and bring to boil, stirring constantly, in sauce pan. Boil about 2 minutes. Set aside

1 large chicken - cut
½ C. flour
Roll chicken in flour and brown in ½ C. oil. Place in baking dish - skin side up.

Sprinkle with:
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper

Pour "sweet and sour" sauce over chicken and bake (uncovered) for 30 minutes at 350°.

Add 1 can pineapple slices (cut up) and 1 large green pepper (cut into strips).

Bake for 30 minutes longer.

Serves 6 to 8
